Onam festival celebrated with traditional fanfare at BIMTECH Greater Noida

Promoting cultural diversity of India, festival of Onam was organized at BIMTECH institute Greater Noida on Sunday.

More than 50 Malayalee students are pursuing their MBA from here (all are  from Kerala only).  As every year, we at BIMTECH celebrated Onam yesterday, i.e. 30th August, 2017 at our Campus with Onasadhya (keralite dishes) followed by Cultural Sandhya, with Thiruvathirakali, a skit on Onam, Vadam Vali, and lot of cultural events, finally with Chendamelam and Sringarimelam by Panchavadyam Trust, New Delhi.

The Onam Festival was inaugurated by lamp lighting by Dr H Chaturvedi, Director, Dr Anupam Varma, Dy Director & Dean Academics, Prof KC Arora, Registrar, Prof KK Krishnan, Chairperson, CCR & Professor and Prof KR Chari, Dean, Students Welfare.  All faculty and students wore the traditional Kerela dresses (Onam Sari and Mundu) on the occasion.

The Birla Institute of Management Technology (BIMTECH) was established by Syt. B. K. Birla ji in 1988 under the aegis of the Birla Academy of Art & Culture, Kolkata. It is supported by the companies of B. K. Birla and A. V. Birla Groups. We offer doctoral and post graduate programmes in general management, insurance, retailing and international business. All these programmes are duly recognized by the relevant statutory bodies. Around 400 final year students would receive their Post Graduate Diploma in Management at the Convocation.

Started modestly at New Delhi, the Institute is currently located in a scenic residential campus at Greater Noida, which provides an ideal environment for business education in the country.
