Oscar Winner Guneet Monga makes debut appearance at Cannes 2023

New Delhi (India), 18th May 2023: Indian producer, Guneet Monga, who brought home an Oscar for her documentary film The Elephant Whisperers, walked the red carpet at the 76th Cannes Film Festival on Wednesday in a gleaming golden saree.

Guneet Monga kept her style basic however her stunning saree stole the show. Her gold clutch and pearl drop earrings completed the appearance. Guneet Monga will be attending Cannes this year as part of the Indian delegation.

The producer posted photos of herself on the red carpet on Wednesday night. She was accompanied by Dr. L Murugan, Union Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting, and Manipuri star Kangabam Tomba, who is leading the Indian delegation at the Cannes Film Festival.

The producer thanked the delegation for giving her the opportunity to represent the country on the global arena by sharing the photos on her social media.

Monga’s caption of the post read, “So delighted to be at the Cannes Film Festival 2023 as a part of the Indian government delegation. India is now on the global stage in world cinema, and it’s an honour to be a part of this momentous occasion.”

She added, “I want to take a moment to express my gratitude to the Indian government and FICCI for providing me with this incredible opportunity to represent our country on this global stage.”

This year at the Cannes, Kennedy, directed by Anurag Kashyap, has been chosen for the festival’s Midnight Screenings segment. Sunny Leone, Rahul Bhatt, and Abhilash Thapliyal appear in the film.
