Passenger Dies After Mid-Air Medical Emergency on Madurai-Bound Flight

Indore (Madhya Pradesh), 15th Jan 2023: A 60-year-old passenger, Atul Gupta, traveling in a Madurai-bound IndiGo Airlines flight 6E-2088, died after the plane made an emergency landing at the Indore Airport on Saturday night.

Gupta was found bleeding from his mouth mid-flight, and his condition kept deteriorating.

The plane was diverted to Indore due to the medical emergency. After landing in Indore, Gupta was taken to a hospital, where he was declared dead.

The passenger was reported to have been suffering from high blood pressure, diabetes, and other ailments. The flight finally took off for Delhi at around 6.40 p.m. Gupta was a resident of Noida.

The incident has left the passengers of the flight in shock and has raised questions over an airline’s medical emergency protocols. The incident is under investigation, and further details are awaited.
