PM @NarendraModi attacks #Mayawati in Orai, terms BSP as ‘Behenji Sampatti Party’
Jalaun, Feb 20: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday attacked the BSP supremo Mayawati while addressing an election rally in poll-bound Uttar Pradesh’s Jalaun district. The Prime Minister took a dig at Mayawati over her remark on demonetisation that the decision was taken in a haste and proper preparation was not done before the announcement. “Behenji said that the government was not prepared to take such a decision. I want to ask, was it you or the government who wasn’t prepared,” Modi said in Orai. The PM also said that BSP is no longer Bahujan Samaj Party. “BSP is now become Behenji Sampatti Party,” he said.
He also slammed the previous governments in the state for destroying Bundelkhand. “The region is the worst affected in Uttar Pradesh,” he said.
Modi promised that if elected to power in the state, BJP will create a Bundelkhand Development Board to address the issue of the region. He also raised the illegal mining issue in the region and promised to form a special squad to check the illegal mining which he said is being flourished due to the nexus of political parties and illegal miners.
Slamming the opposition parties, Modi said the successive governments failed to develop the region even after 70 years of independence. “If you want to develop the Bundlekhand region in just five years which could not happen in last 70 years, you need to have a BJP government in the state,” Modi told voters.
