Polls delay launch of new Mandi House Delhi Metro station

The reason for the delay is the “finishing” touches being applied to the station, which is part of the extension of the Badarpur-Central Secretariat line. Delhi Metro Rail Corporation, meanwhile, say passenger-related amenities have been set up at the station and fire safety clearances have been obtained.

The wait for the Mandi House Metro station is getting longer. Touted as the solution to overcrowding at Rajiv Chowk, the station was to be opened after March 31, according to DMRC. Sources now say it will not be open to public before mid-April.
