Pranav Adani Expresses Pride in PGTI Partnership and the Growth of Indian Sports at Adani Invitational Golf Championship 2025

Greater Noida (April 4, 2025): Pranav Adani, Managing Director of Adani Enterprises and a key figure behind the Adani Group’s collaboration with the Professional Golf Tour of India (PGTI), expressed his pride and enthusiasm at the ongoing Adani Invitational Golf Championship 2025. The event, which kicked off on April 1, is being held at the prestigious Jaypee Greens Golf & Spa Resort in Greater Noida.
Speaking at the prize distribution ceremony on April 4, Pranav Adani highlighted the significant role sports play in India’s growth and the country’s ambition to shine on the global stage. He noted, I’m sure all the players and winners have had a great game today. It’s really our privilege to be associated with the PGTI and have this partnership group with PGTI for the Adani Invitational Golf Championship.
Adani emphasized the importance of sports in the development of young talent and its potential to make India proud in international competitions, including the Olympics. Sports is something very close to us, and I feel that for a growing country like India, we truly require sportsmen who can make India proud, he said.
Reflecting on the Adani Group’s broader commitment to sports development, Pranav Adani noted how the Adani Invitational Golf Championship aligns with the company’s ‘Garv Hai’ campaign, which focuses on nurturing young sports talent in India. This campaign is very dear to us as it aims to develop young sportsmen who can bring pride to our country, not just in golf but across all sports, in Olympic Games and other international competitions, he added.
Acknowledging the efforts of the PGTI and the key individuals involved in the tournament, Adani expressed gratitude toward cricket legend and PGTI President Kapil Dev and CEO Amandeep Johl, whose contributions have made the championship possible. The Adani Invitational Golf Championship features a ₹1.5 crore prize purse and sees the return of PGTI to Jaypee Greens after 11 years. A field of 126 players, including 124 professionals and 2 amateurs, is competing in the stroke-play format. The event, which will culminate on April 4, will be followed by a Pro-Am event on April 5.
Additionally, the Adani Group’s commitment to golf and sports development extends to the launch of the Adani-PGTI Golf Training Academy at the Belvedere Golf & Country Club in Ahmedabad, further solidifying the group’s support for grassroots talent and India’s pursuit of excellence in global sports.
Concluding his speech, Pranav Adani expressed optimism about the future of the championship, stating, I am sure that the coming years will be even better than the first year, and I really wish all the best to the winners, particularly the sportsmanship spirit of those who joined us.
