Greater Noida News (08/05/2026): The 15th edition of the IEIA Open Seminar & Exhibition Services Expo 2026, currently being held at the India Expo Centre & Mart in Greater Noida from 8 to 9 May has brought together leading names from the exhibition and event management industry from India and abroad. The prestigious annual conclave, organised by the Indian Exhibition Industry Association (IEIA), is also marking 20 years of its journey since its inception in 2006.

Highlighting the company’s future plans, he said Prime Events & Conferences is increasingly focusing on Artificial Intelligence-driven services and emerging technologies. According to him, AI is rapidly transforming the exhibition industry, and businesses are now eager to showcase innovative AI-powered solutions and services to visitors and clients. He also revealed that the company is preparing to launch hardware-focused exhibitions in the near future.

During the interaction, Dr. Shastry also shared his perspective on the rise of e-commerce and its impact on exhibitions. He explained that business-to-business (B2B) trade fairs and consumer-focused exhibitions continue to hold significant importance despite the growth of online marketplaces. He noted that physical exhibitions provide direct interaction, trust-building opportunities and hands-on product experiences that digital platforms often cannot fully replicate.

Commenting on the ongoing crisis in the Middle East and its impact on the exhibition industry, Dr. Shastry acknowledged that the region’s event sector has been affected considerably over the past few months. He expressed concern for industry partners and associates operating in affected countries, adding that many exhibitions in the region have remained suspended for nearly two months. However, he emphasized that the global exhibition community continues to support one another during challenging times.

Praising the infrastructure at the India Expo Centre & Mart, he described the venue as one of the most well-designed exhibition hubs in the country. He highlighted its world-class facilities, multiple exhibition halls and growing connectivity advantages. He further added that Greater Noida is emerging as a major destination for international exhibitions and business events, especially with the development of the upcoming Noida International Airport.
