Greater Noida (08/02/2019) : Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be visiting Greater Noida on Saturday to inaugurate different projects and also to lay foundation of various public welfare initiatives.

The Prime Minister will be inaugurating the Deen Dayal Upadhyay Institute of Archaeology, which has been made with a cost of about 290 crores.

Besides inaugurating the NOIDA City Centre-NOIDA Electronic City section of the DMRC’s Blue line, he will also address a public gathering, which will be attended by Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath, and Union minister Dr. Mahesh Sharma.



After the launch of the Blue Line extension on Saturday, passenger operations will also resume from 4 pm onwards on the section.

During the visit, the Prime Minister will also remotely lay the foundation for the thermal power plant in Khurja for which the Centre has allocated Rs 11,089 crore.

The work for the Institute of Archaeology, an academic wing of the Archaeological Survey of India, had started in October 2016, after Home Minister Rajnath Singh laid its foundation.

According to sources, the events will start from 11 am on Saturday and the district administration has completed all preparations for the same.
