Protest by Youth wing of the #AamAadmiParty at the residence of Union Minister Smriti Irani

The youth wing of the Aam Aadmi Party today held a massive protest at the residence of Union Minister Smriti Irani to press for her  resignation. The youth body has called for urgent dismissal of Irani to pursue a free and fair investigation into the charges of fake degree against her.

“We deplore the silence of Prime Minister and demand dismissal of HRD minister Smriti Irani since the court has found allegation against her fit for prosecution,” said Ankush Narang, AAP youth wing president addressing the demonstration.

The youth wing of AAP has demanded that Prime Minister should show the same promptness as he did in acting against former Delhi Minister Jitendra Tomar.

Vikas Yogi, Spokesperson of Youth wing has informed that there were atleast hundreds of youth from across the city in the demonstration whereas around 100 were detained by the police at the end of the protest.

AAP youth wing has warned of further intensifying its protest if the demand for Irani’s dismissal is not accepted.
