New Delhi, 29th April 2022: Rashid Alvi, Congress party member criticised the BJP’s decision to change the names of Delhi villages, questioning if this step will create jobs for the people?
While changing the name of Mohammadpur to Madhavpura, BJP Delhi Chief had stated that changing the names of these 40 villages such as Masoodpur, Begumpur and Hauz Khas as a symbol of slavery.
“I’m afraid to say that BJP leaders are competing to see who can spread the most animosity among the people. What will you gain from it, in terms of price reductions or the creation of jobs? You can do it just because you have power. And why is the Prime Minister deafeningly quiet?,”said Alvi.
He sneered at the BJP, claiming that all of the MPs live in bungalows erected by the british government and questioning why the Prime Minister go to the Lal Qila to address the public.
