Ravneet Singh wins Quiz-O-Mania 2016 organized by Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida

QuizOmania,“National Level Quiz  Competition” was organized  by Dronacharya   Group  of  Institutions  on  08Apr 2016.Students from various schools of NCR including : Kothari International School, Bal Bharti Public School, Vishwa Bharti School, Bal Bharti Public School, Holi Public School, St. Joseph Convent, Modern School, JNV Ghaziabad, Dewan Public School, DPS Noida, Ascent International School, Apeejay School and KIS Noida participated in the competition.

 

The objective of this competition was to ingrain in the students, the passion for innovation and creativity and explore their knowledge and excellence through competitive and highly motivating contest. QuizOmania was conducted in  three stages:

 

  • General Quiz
  • Group Gaming
  • Computers & Coding

 

Dr.R. Radhakrishnan , President,  COIN    (Consortium of  Innovation) presided over as the Chief Guest. Welcome   Address    was   given   by Prof.(Dr.) S.K. Bagga, Director , DGI , Greater Noida. Chief  Guest Dr. Radhakrishnan  delivered  the  key note address wherein he highlighted the essence of Entrepreneurship and Make in India concept. He exhorted the school children to be bold, assertive and creative and contribute to society in their own productive manner. Entrepreneurship is the order of the day and students should be a part of this ecosystem. They should  exploit their intrinsic   strength   of creativity culminating into excellence.

 

Prof. TPN Singh, Advisor (R&D) addressed the students and motivated them to pursue their  passions vigorously till the end. Obstacles and hindrances will be encountered on the path but efforts must continue to achieve the final goal.

 

On the basis of the first round of General Quiz 82  qualified for the second round of Group Gaming. These students were formed in groups and pitched against each other for the contest. 42 students qualified for the third round of Computers and Coding. Results were evaluated and three winners were identified for first, second and third prize.

 

 

The prize distribution   took   place and prizes declared were as follows:

 

  • Ravneet Singh of Ascent Public School – First Prize of Rs.11000/-
  • Arun Kumar of Ascent Public School – Second Prize of Rs. 5100/-
  • Shubham Mittal of St. Joseph Convent – Third Prize of Rs. 3100/-

 

The prizes and certificates were given to the winners and participants. The event ended with vote of thanks delivered  by Prof. TPN Singh.
