Punjab government seems to be on an over-drive to quickly find a mention in “It Happens only in India” club.
In an interesting and shocking revelations it has come to light that a 36 old Amit Bahadur who was formerly employed as cook in Punjab’s Power Minister Rana Gurjit’s company has won bid in 26 crore coal mine auction.
Amit Bahadur has filed Income Tax returns of less than One Lakh in last five years. Details of his state bank account reveal that he had exactly 4,840 on April 1st.
How exactly he took part in 19th May mining auction and also deposited money on 21 and 22 may after being a successful bidder might be an extremely hard thing to ponder for us, the common people.
Amit Bahadur’s account details reveal that he receives a salary of 11,706. Surprisingly he had already deposited first installment of INR 13.34 crore on May 21. He will have to pay a second installment of similar amount in this year. However the way things were going it doesn’t look as impossible as it might sound.
Punjab was the only state where congress could make a government during assembly polls conducted this year.
