Noida’s infamous Shrikant Tyagi case is getting more and more complicated with each passing day, with BJP MP Mahesh Sharma being caught on camera saying that he was ashamed to claim that state was ruled by his party’s government.

Visiting the victim’s house on Sunday late evening, Sharma was informed that a bit ago few miscreants tried to threaten the victim by entering into the society. Furious over this major security lapse, Sharma immediately dialed home secretary of the state and oblivious of surrounding cameras made some furious comments.

“Please ask the commissioner how 15 goons entered this society. This is not right. I am here. The BJP city chief is also here. We are ashamed that it’s our government in Uttar Pradesh,” a furious Mahesh Sharma was heard saying over phone.

The video has given further fodder to opposition with even Akhilesh Yadav tweeting Sharma’s comments with a sharp remark.

However, in another attempt to undo some damage, UP government today sent officials to bulldoze the encroachment done by Tyagi within the society.

Mahesh Sharma too spoke to media again today and brushed off different photos of Tyagi with all senior leaders as mere coincidence. “Teams have been deployed to nab him, searches underway across country. His (Shrikant Tyagi) arrest to be made soon…I’ve never seen him on any platform/program of our party. These days people get photos clicked by any means, but that doesn’t indicate his link with any party,” Mahesh Sharma told a news agency.

He added, “Modi-Yogi govt has zero-tolerance policy for assault against women… after taking action under Gangster Act, a cash price of Rs 25,000 was announced to those who help with his arrest, 6 police officials suspended.”

Meanwhile, MLA Pankaj Singh, Commissioner Alok Singh and other police officials also visited the victim.
