Greater Noida, 20th April 2022: The Self-Employed Women Association (SEWA) is going to organise a two-day ‘SEWA Bazaar’ at BIMTECH, Greater Noida on 24th and 25th April 2022 from 11am to 6pm.

SEWA Bazaar is a digital social enterprise, a collective platform that provides offline and online presence to women micro entrepreneurs by preserving traditional trades and linking up with technological advancements.

By providing an opportunity to showcase their handcrafted items, SEWA aims to help women micro entrepreneurs in the informal sector make a living and become self-reliant.

This year the ‘SEWA bazaar’ will showcase exciting and exquisite products in categories including home utilities, household accessories, fashion accessories, food products and so on.

Additionally, the Bazaar will host live workshops where the visitors will get an opportunity to interact with the artisans and try their hands on block-printing, pencil-making, journal-making, and embroidery.

In order to help and encourage these handicraft artisans from different parts of the country, about 65%-90% of the sales amount will be given to the artisans, as per the organiser.

With the agenda “Every Product Has A Story To Tell, Every Purchase Has An Impact To Make”, the SEWA organisation has requested the support of the people to fulfil their primary goal of making the poor rural women self-reliant by encouraging their employment.
