New Delhi: The Timeless Kashmir Shawl’s are among the most exquisite Textile ever woven as they are a product of exemplary skill and artistry applied tovone of the world’s most deficate fibers namely Pashmina.
The Splendor of Kashmir by textile designer Varuna Anand is an endeavour to promote the heritage art of shawl making in Kashmir. and a tribute to the highly skilled craftsmen.
On Thursday in National Capital, Varuna Anand who spent many year’s learning and designing home Textiles and Sarees for the likes of House of Fraser, John Lewis, Galleries Lafayette Printemps, Laura Ashley, Tommy Hilfiger and Satya Paul, Showcased the Exhibition of the “Heirloom Collection 2018-19”, a niche collectors Collection of Luxury Pashmina Shawls along with Finest Handcrafted Shawls.
Speaking about the Collection, Reowned Textile Designer Varuna Anand said,
“The Farmed Hand crafted Pashmina Shawls from Kashmir are one of the most desired and venerated Indian Textiles known the world over. This Collection emphasizes on recreating the legendary splendor of this Timeless textile as a prized Art, worthy to be passed on as a Heirloom from generation to generation.”
Her clientele including The Maharana of Udaipur Shriji Arvind Singh Mewar, Co-founder and Chairperson of Cequin, Sara Abdullah Pilot, spoke volumes of her work. In conversation with Ten News.
