Institute’s Innovation Council, School of Biomedical Sciences & School of Business, Galgotias University organized Department of Science & Technology, Government of India Sponsored Faculty Development Program on Entrepreneurship. This program will run till 17 August 2023.
Deepan Sahu, Assistant Director Innovation, Ministry of Education Innovation Cell and AICTE, Government of India, was present as the Chief Guest on the occasion. More than 300 faculty members from all over India participated in the event.
Dr. Anamika Pandey, Associate Dean, School of Business, started the session with introduction and mentioned that this FDP will help the faculties to inculcate entrepreneurial values.
In the inaugural address, Prof. (Dr.) Renu Luthra, Advisor to Chancellor, appealed the participants to believe in their vision as well as their passion. She also said that there is a huge amount of entrepreneurial energy hidden in India, which should be explored and harnessed to its full potential.
Pro Vice Chancellor, Galgotias University, Prof. (Dr.) Awadhesh Kumar in his speech said that Galgotias University will always encourage entrepreneurial values among the students and faculty. He mentioned that so far, the university has established more than 100 startups. And there are plans to increase this number in the coming years.
Professor (Dr.) Ranjana Patnaik, Dean School of Biomedical Sciences thanked the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India for supporting Galgotias University for organizing the event. He also said that entrepreneurship is the “need of the hour” and can convert knowledge into practical application.
Dr. Gaurav Kumar, Head, Institute’s Innovation Council explained the need for faculty development programme. He also mentioned that Galgotias University is one of the top 50 institutes nationally in NIRF innovation ranking. He claimed that IIC, Galgotias University will continue to organize relevant events to spread awareness about entrepreneurship.
The Chief Guest of the session, Deepan Sahoo, Assistant Director Innovation, Ministry of Education Innovation Cell and AICTE, Government of India highly praised Galgotias University for its contribution in promoting the innovation and startup culture. He also mentioned that Galgotias University is one of the leading institutes in this aspect and has been a pioneer in creating a conducive environment for entrepreneurs by organizing several events over the years.
Sunil Galgotia, Chancellor, Galgotias University, said that this faculty development program is a high necessity, as in today’s world, faculty play a role as teachers, researchers, mentors, mentors and role models for the coming generation.
Dhruv Galgotias, CEO, Galgotias University encouraged the participants to gain knowledge from the renowned speakers and said that entrepreneurship can pave the way for the future generation.
The inaugural session ended with a vote of thanks by Dr. Sumedha Mukherjee, and was followed by the technical sessions of the FDP. In this FDP, Dr. V K Arora, Dr Divya Rajput, Manveen Chadha, Praveen Kapoor, Vivek Suman, Satish kumar, Ms. Priyanka Gupta, Sushil Kumar Sharma Founder CEO, Sustaineco, Dr. Neelam Saxena, Sateesh M K, Ms. Reema Sahni Mediratta Patent Agent, RTTP, MHRD IA, Danida Fellow, Atul Puri, PARTHA SEN, CIPM, Dr. Ashutosh Pastor, Dr Manisha Acharya, Dr Sanjeeva Kumar Majumdar, Subhobroto Chakroborty, Amit Das, Dr. Sankar Mukherjee, Dr. Ashutosh Pandey, and Dr Rakhi Gupta will enlighten & motivate the Faculty Members & Trainers.
