New Delhi, 07th June 2023: The Union Sports Minister, Anurag Thakur confirmed that the Indian Wrestlers protesting against Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) chief and BJP MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh over sexual harassment allegations have been invited to meet with the government to discuss their concerns.

A late night tweet by the minister urged the wrestlers to have discussions with the government, just days after the wrestlers met with Home Minister Amit Shah to discuss the same issues.

The wrestlers held a late-night meeting with Minister Shah on Saturday, where sources added that the government asked the protesters to not talk about the meet.

This comes as several women wrestlers, including a minor, have accused Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh of sexual harassment. They have demanded an impartial investigation and swift action against the wrestling body chief.
