Students drone flying at night triggers havoc in society, Paranoid residents calls police

Residents of Casa Grande Housing society under Kasna Police station called police after some of the residents caught drones (UAV) hovering in from of their balconies.
Some of the residents claimed that on Sunday late night they had seen a remote controlled drown hovering in front of their balconies for multiple times. One of the residents told that “As he went to his balcony the drown moved towards Yamuna Expressway after taking a round of the tower.”
According to the resident they that it was a drill conducted by police so they informed police about this. So after discussing the matter in residents chat group, we informed police about the incident.
After investigation police came to know that two students from Noida International University who were living in the same society on a rented flat were flying the drone. “We sent a police team to nab the accused as we got this information but the students were found absent from their flat. As we contacted them they confessed that they were flying the drones as per part of their University project. And left form their home in Lucknow on Sunday morning itself. “Said SHO Kasna Police Station.
Further, he told that “We warned students that not to repeat this otherwise they will face legal action.” As per the guidelines of the ministry of civil aviation issued in August 2018, it is illegal to fly drone cameras at Airport, residential society and sensitive areas as they are declared no-fly zone.
