Supertech Twin Towers demolition: Smog guns deployed, neighbours shifted to safe locations

Noida, 28 August 2022: The authorities are all set to demolish the illegal twin towers of Supertech today at 2:30 pm in Noida.
According to Edifice Engineering, the demolition company, about 3,500 kg of dynamite will be employed at the site to take down the construction in a controlled explosion. While the neighbouring residents, ie, over 5000 people from the ATS village and Emerald court including other 40 towers have been asked to vacate their societies.
The NGO volunteers have also rescued dogs from the nearby areas while the affected residents are being sheltered at the Parsvnath Prestige Residential Complex in sector 93.
It is also reported that about 11 smog guns have been deployed at the site for the demolition in the surrounding areas of the twin towers. Additionally the authorities have installed special dust machines at the site to monitor the pollution levels after the demolition.
With regards to vehicular traffic, the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway will not be functional between 2:15pm to 2:45 pm. The metros will also be shut during the demolition. While all the emergency services such as the ambulances, fire trucks are allowed by the park behind the site.
All the movement within 2 km radius of the Supertech Towers will be completely non functional but the emergency vehicles will be allowed. Around 500 police officers have been deployed around the demolition site including traffic officials to monitor the restrictions.
