Tata Projects team initiates runway work at #NOIDA International Airport site

Greater Noida (25/06/2022): Noida International Airport development work seems to be going well with construction of the runway having been duly started this week.

NIA’s official handle on twitter shared the information by sharing a snap of arrival of Tata projects team to lend hand in the swift development of this upcoming international airport in Jewar.

On social media, many users also lauded the step and expressed hope for early completion of this project. “Very congratulations,” wrote Sushil Pandey.

Another user Surendra suggested for simultaneous development of a direct connectivity route between IGI and NIA. He wrote, “Many congratulations. Also start the development of an express metro route to connect IGI and Noida International Airport in a seamless manner.”

As per current deadline, the authorities are aiming to begin flight operations from the airport from September 2024.

The ground breaking ceremony for this aspirational project took place in October last year in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, CM Yogi Adityanath and many other key dignitaries.
