TCS CEO Rajesh Gopinathan resigns

New Delhi (India), 16th March 2023: The Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) announced the resignation of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Managing Director (MD) Rajesh Gopinathan from the company. The announcement was made in an exchange filing post market hours on Thursday.

The filing read, “We wish to inform you that Mr Rajesh Gopinathan, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Tata Consultancy Services Limited (“the Company”) has tendered his resignation, which will be effective from the close of business hours on September 15, 2023. The Board place on record their appreciation for the contribution made by Mr. Rajesh Gopinathan during his tenure with the Company,”

K Krithivasan has been appointed as the CEO designate and will be the successor to Gopinathan. K Krithivasa is currently the President and Global Head of the Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI) Business Group at TCS.

The filing further stated that subject to shareholder approval, Krithivasa will assume the roles of Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of the Company beginning with the following fiscal year and the precise date of this transition will be announced in due time.
