The 11th National Conference on “Industrial Problems on Machines and Mechanisms” – Valedictory function held

The 11^th National Conference on “Industrial Problems on Machines and Mechanisms”, IPRoMM-2014 organized by Mechanical Engineering Department, I.T.S Engineering College, Greater Noida under the aegis of Association for Machines and Mechanisms concluded with the last session of paper presentation followed by valedictory note and vote of thanks presented by conference organizing secretary Mr. Md. Kamal Asif Khan. The conference was a huge success where invited dignitaries from industry and academia participated and presented their work dealing with problems related to industry. The conference provided an interacting platform for the budding engineers and benefitted them with the shower of rich experience from the experts in industry and academia. The conference highlighted the need of developing and understanding sound engineering concepts and promoted a sense of innovation among the listeners.

The experts invited for the talks included faculty and research scholars from academic institutions like IIT Delhi, IIT Patna, IIT Chennai, DTU, New Delhi and Jamia Millia Islamia University and industrial organizations such as Larsen & Turbo, Faridabad, Holland Tractors (Fiat), Greater Noida, ReCur Dyn, and Lelogix Design Solutions, to name a few. The experts shared their views regarding the problems often encountered while handling any project specially related to the design of machines and mechanisms. The research scholars presented their papers showing various new techniques and applications to solve some daily life problems that can be further used in industrial applications.

In his vote of thanks, Mr. Kamal Asif expressed his gratitude to the management of I.T.S The Education Group for providing the required infrastructure and financial support from the organizing committee in organizing this conference, AMM for allowing to organize this conference in the college, the invited dignitaries from industry and academia and Mr. Dinesh Tyagi, Director ICAT for sparing his precious time to come and inaugurate the function and release the conference proceedings. Thanks were also extended to dignitaries Prof. S. K. Saha from IIT Delhi, Prof. B. Sahay, IIT Patna and Mr. S. Sood, Chief Administrator, I.T.S The education Group for gracing the inaugural function. Thanks were also given to all the persons involved in the organizing committee and the volunteers of the Mechanical Engineering department for providing working support and standing together that helped in organizing the event successfully.
