The Jaypee Group has invited bids from real estate firms to develop land in Jaypee Greens Sports City on the 165km-long Yamuna Expressway that connects Noida, on the outskirts of Delhi, with the city of Agra.
In newspaper advertisements, Jaypee said property developers interested in building townships or group housing should submit their expression of interest by 30 April. It said the plots of land for townships are available in sizes ranging from three to 50 acres.

Jaypee’s invitation for bids comes at a time when its flagship company Jaiprakash Associates Ltd intends to sell Rs.10,000 crore worth of assets in 2014-15 to cut debt, after successfully divesting assets worth Rs.15,000 crore in the six months ended 31 March.
