Three criminals arrested, vehicle recovered following an encounter in Greater Noida

Gautam Buddha Nagar police today arrested three criminals following an encounter near Bisrakh in Greater Noida. The police had information that there are some criminals in the area who are planning some heist. The police chased the suspected vehicle, on which criminals sped to run away.

In attempt to flee the criminals fired on the chasing police party in which two police constables were injured. The police returned fire and wounded one criminal. Two other criminals were also nabbed in the process. However three other criminals were able to abscond from the crime scene.

The criminals were driving a looted Innova, which has also been recovered. The vehicle was robbed on gun point from a Hindi new daily’s Chief General Manager’s driver on October 21.

SSP Love Kumar said, “The condition of the injured policeman is out of danger. We will be investigating the arrested criminals to know more about their accomplice. Prima facie the criminals have accepted to be involved in more robberies as well. Police teams are hopeful that more vehicles will be recovered and more cases will be resolved based on these arrests”.
