A stretch over 300 meters on the main road heading from Parthala Chowk to Greater Noida will remain closed for traffic movement for the next 11 months due to the construction of a flyover at the Parthala Chowk in Greater Noida (West). During this time period traffic will be diverted to the service road, but as the width of current service road is not enough for the heavy flow of the traffic movement, Noida authority has also resumed the work for the same. The current foot over bridge is also getting demolished. As per the authority officials, the work will be completed within two days and then the diversion will be effective.

This division will only affect the traffic movement on the road heading from Parthala Chowk to Kisan Chowk. Authority officials had assured that road will not be blocked and an alternative service lane will be provided to the commuters. Work for barricading the 300-meter stretch is already started.

The construction of a flyover at the Parthala Chowk in Greater Noida (West) is scheduled to be completed by December 2021, officials said. Costing approximately Rs 80 crore, the six-lane “signature flyover” on the Master Plan-3 road will run 697 metres and bring relief to thousands of commuters who get stuck in road traffic there.

The deadline for the project is of two years but the authority officials were claiming that the regular monitoring had resulted in these two projects getting fast-tracked and they are going to deliver both the projects well ahead of their deadline. Regular visits to the sites have compelled the contractors to put their workers on the job in shifts.
