Treat waste before releasing into Yamuna: National Green Tribunal

An expert panel constituted by the National Green Tribunal (NGT) to examine environmental issues in Ghaziabad has recommended that waste water flowing through Sahibabad drain should be treated at the Indirapuram sewage treatment plant (STP) before being released into the Yamuna.

The panel has also recommended that marriage and banquet halls be banned from discharging waste materials into the drain.
