Two arrested at Greater Noida depot station in double murder incident

Greater Noida (10/09/2019) : Noida Police arrested two accused from Greater Noida metro depot station after a gunfight. The arrested accused had escaped from the police custody, when he was taken for the evidence identification in a murder case under which they were arrested. The accused had excused for nature call and then fled from the custody.

Earlier police had taken an accused on remand in a double murder incident on September 3, in which two dead bodies were found near Greater Noida metro depot station. During the interrogation, the accused confessed his crime. But when police took him for evidence identification, he flee from the police custody excusing nature call. Later all the police stations and SHO’s were alerted and on September 10, the accused got arrested along with his another accomplice after gunfight from the road heading towards Makoda Village from metro deport roundabout.

SSP Vaibhav Krishna told, “The accused were heading in a Wagon R car when police signalled. Then they speeded the car but got rammed with the divider. While police tried to nab them they opened fire, in retaliation they received bullet and got injured.”

Further, SSP Vaibhav Krishna said, “The reason behind committing murder as told by the accused Sukhmeet is that Rahul (victim) is involved in the murder his cousin brother. While accused Yogesh has suspension over Kuldeep (Victim) for passing his information to police because of which he got arrested in a loot incident.”

Both the arrested accused are shooters and have more than a dozen cases against the them under different police station of the district as well as in nearby districts. Police had recovered a .32bore pistol, country-made gun and a Wagon R car used for committing crime.
