UAE-India CEPA and Galgotias University Launch Strategic Start-up Hub in Greater Noida

The UAE-India CEPA Council and Galgotias University’s Galgotias Incubation Centre for Research Innovation Start-up and Entrepreneurs (GICRISE) have joined hands to establish a start-up launchpad. This initiative aims to connect Indian start-ups with global expansion opportunities under the UAE-India Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA).

The event commenced with a comprehensive presentation on the Start-up Series by Ahmed Aljneibi, Director of CEPA. Highlighting the importance of institutional partnerships in fostering innovation, he said: “India’s academic and incubation institutions are producing start-ups with the potential to succeed globally. Such institutional collaborations provide access to international networks, which can accelerate their growth.”

Dr. Dhruv Galgotia, Chief Executive Officer of Galgotias University, reaffirmed the university’s commitment to global partnerships and innovation-led education, stating: “We believe that it is essential to build a world-class ecosystem for youth focused on innovation and start-ups. This partnership with the UAE-India CEPA Council strengthens our vision of global collaboration and pursuit of excellence.”

On this occasion, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was also signed between the CEPA Council and the university, marking the beginning of a long-term collaboration aimed at advancing shared goals in innovation and entrepreneurship.

Galgotias University’s incubation centre actively supports youth by offering practical guidance, interdisciplinary collaboration, and strategic mentorship to foster start-up growth.

The session concluded with an interactive Q&A round where students, start-up founders, and faculty members directly engaged with Mr. Aljneibi. This exchange provided participants with an in-depth understanding of the start-up ecosystem and insights into the selection process directly from the Council’s leadership.
