UP Governor BL Joshi resigns, fate of more governors in balance

Uttar Pradesh governor BL Joshi has resigned, just a few months after being re-appointed by the erstwhile UPA government, amid pressure by the home ministry on at least six more governors appointed by the UPA to demit office. The President accepted Joshi’s resignation and handed over temporary charge to Uttarakhand governor Aziz Qureshi.
