UP Yodha Captain Rishank Devadiga interacts with media ahead of their first match

Greater Noida (01/11/18) : Greater Noida’s Saheed Vijay Singh Pathik Sports Complex is all set to host the matches of sixth season of the awaited Pro Kabaddi League. It was earlier announced that this venue will be the home ground for UP Yoddha. Today, team management conducted a press conference sharing the details of the event and team preparations.
A total of 10 matches will be played between 2nd to 8th November and the timings will be 8 to 10 PM. Tickets can be purchased online as well as from the venue. Tickets are priced from 499 to 1900 rupees. VIP tickets will also have hospitality services with them.
During the media interaction, Rishank Devadiga as captain of UP Yoddhas and head coach Jasveer Singh along with team manager Vinod Bisht remained present.
Rishank Devadiga said “for now our team has performed good overall and we are continuously working to improve our performance in upcoming matches. Our upcoming matches will be crucial for us as it will be played on our home ground and winning there will make our easy to playoffs.”
Further, he added “for now all the teams are equally though as strong teams also received defeats so it’s very early to comment that which team if more strong”
Jasveer Singh Head Coach of the team said “we are working on every aspect in a systemic manner and boys are getting their lesson well. As this is a long event so we are working on the fitness of players.”
Secretary of Saheed Vijay Singh Pathik Sports Complex Rajesh Sharma said “These kinds of tournaments enhance the credibility and popularity of the venue. We had got full support from Greater Noida Authority and district administration. I think this tournament will be very successful as Kabaddi is very popular in this region. I hope that in the future also we will keep getting opportunities for organizing such events”
Tag line of the team for this year will be ‘Saans Rok, Seena Thok’ which itself is incorporating the every aspect of the sport.
