Vasant Ustav to be held in Noida to promote our Indian culture : Reajeshwari Thyagarajan

Vice president of Society for Sports and Cultural Advancement (SSCA) Rajeshwari Thyagarajan said that we are promoting culture and sports activities among the students by organising programmes on various platforms.

Addressing a press conference here, Thyagarajan said this organisation has been working from last six years to promote cultural activities and giving platforms to students.

“Our organization is working for preserving indigenous faiths and cultural heritage of our country,” she said while interacting with the media persons at a community centre in Noida.

A Dance competition programme will be held at Indra Gandhi auditorium on February 15.

The programme is being organised to mark the festival of “Vasant Utsav” “On the occasion, our main concentration is on the folk dancers of India,” she said.

She said that our aim is to educate the young population of India about folk dances which has been playing an important role in preserving our culture and heritage of our country.

She added that all the students who are interested in folk dancing can communicate with them to submit their forms and participate in the programme.

She said that folk dance and cultural festivals have always played a crucial role in increasing consciousness amongst the people about cultural heritage, traditions and practices which enriches relationships between them.
