New Delhi, 1st April: Despite Coronavirus crisis, ‘Tablighi Jamaat’, a group of Sunni Muslim community gathered from almost all parts of the country and from other countries as well, at its international head quarter in Delhi in Nizamuddin west area for religious preaching.

Many of those who had gathered at the Marzak carried the symptoms of Coronavirus at the event and flee across many states of the country after the event was over. So far, atleast 24 people from Marzak have tested positive for Coronavirus in Delhi and 6 have died in Telangana.

Tablighi Jamaat is an orthodox ultra conservative sunni muslim movement which is followed in 150 countries and was started in India 1927. It begin in February with 16,000 people of Tablighi Jamaat gathering in Malaysia. In march, 2,000 including foreigners gathered in Markaz in Delhi violating the advisory of Delhi Government to restrain from organizing a gathering over 200.

All the people who were involved in the gathering should be held responsible and punished for such a deplorable act that has put thousands of lives at stake, but at the same time the government too should be held accountable for allowing such an event.

Some key questions that Govt should be answering are:

– Why travel visas of foreigners were not suspended before 12th March?

– How no one came to know that there were thousands of foreigners at a mosque?

– What was the role of neighborhood Police station?

Lastly, one of the most important thing out of left- right politics and creating hindu-muslim propaganda is just that all Tablighi Jamaat attendees should come out for the test for the sake of themselves and the country’s well being.
