GREATER NOIDA News (21/01/2026): The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) is steadily advancing the development of a state-of-the-art Medical Devices Park (MDP) in Sector-28 of its notified area, aimed at strengthening domestic manufacturing capabilities and boosting exports in the medical devices sector.
In this context, a high-level delegation from M/s Wipro GE Healthcare—a joint venture between Wipro Limited and GE Healthcare—visited the Medical Devices Park on January 21, 2027. The visit followed sustained engagement between YEIDA and the company and was organised at the invitation of the Authority’s Chief Executive Officer, Rakesh Kumar Singh.
During the visit, the delegation carried out a detailed inspection of the Medical Devices Park, which is being developed over an area of about 350 acres. The team also reviewed the Common Scientific Facilities being established within the park. Members of the delegation expressed appreciation for the advanced infrastructure and the comprehensive, integrated ecosystem being put in place to support medical device manufacturing.

YEIDA officials highlighted the strategic advantages of the park’s location, noting its close proximity to the upcoming Noida International Airport. The delegation was informed about proposed connectivity through the Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS), dedicated rail links near the airport, and direct access to the Dedicated Freight Corridor (DFC), all of which are expected to provide significant benefits for logistics, supply chains, and exports.
The overall ecosystem of the Medical Devices Park was presented by the Additional Chief Executive Officer (ACE-O), YEIDA, Shailendra Kumar Bhatia. He outlined the presence of supporting industrial clusters in the region, including a Data Centre Park, Apparel Park, Semiconductor Park, and an Electronics Manufacturing Cluster (EMC). In addition, facilities for on-site export facilitation and licensing support are being developed to ease operations for investors and manufacturers.
YEIDA officials informed the delegation that nearly 80 percent of the Medical Devices Park has already been completed, with full completion targeted by the end of 2026. The project has attracted investment proposals exceeding ₹1,200 crore so far, and land allotment schemes have received an encouraging response from industry players.
As part of its expansion plans, M/s Wipro GE Healthcare expressed interest in acquiring approximately 10 acres of land within the Medical Devices Park. The Authority stated that the proposal will be examined in accordance with applicable policies and established procedures.
YEIDA reaffirmed its commitment to developing the Medical Devices Park as a globally competitive manufacturing and export hub, with a strong focus on world-class infrastructure, ease of doing business, and integrated support systems tailored to the needs of the medical devices industry.
