GREATER NOIDA News (23/12/2025): A senior delegation of the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA), headed by Chief Executive Officer R. K. Singh, undertook an official visit to the Japanese Industrial Park developed by the Rajasthan State Industrial Development and Investment Corporation (RIICO) in Neemrana on Monday. The visit was aimed at closely examining the planning, execution, and operational framework of the Neemrana model, which is being considered as a benchmark for the proposed Japanese Industrial City in the YEIDA region of Uttar Pradesh.
The review meeting was chaired by R. K. Singh, CEO, YEIDA, and co-chaired by Shri Shailendra Kumar Bhatia, Additional CEO, YEIDA. Senior officials from YEIDA, representatives from EPCMD–India, officials of RIICO including Sanjay Bagadia, Deputy General Manager, and members of the consulting firm Ernst & Young (EY) were also present during the discussions.
RIICO officials made a detailed presentation outlining the evolution of the Neemrana Japanese Industrial Park, highlighting how the zone was planned specifically to meet the requirements of Japanese companies operating in India. The presentation covered critical aspects such as land-use planning, infrastructure development, utility provisioning, regulatory facilitation, and investor hand-holding mechanisms.
Key areas of discussion included customized land allocation and zoning strategies, incentive and support frameworks designed for foreign investors, and the specific logistical, power, water, and connectivity needs of Japanese manufacturing firms. YEIDA officials examined how these components could be adapted and integrated into the master planning of the upcoming Japanese Industrial City in Uttar Pradesh.

Following the technical deliberations, the YEIDA delegation conducted an on-ground inspection of the Japanese Industrial Park at Neemrana to gain firsthand insight into infrastructure quality, internal road networks, utility management systems, and overall industrial ecosystem development.
Speaking on the occasion, R. K. Singh, CEO of YEIDA, expressed appreciation to the Rajasthan government and RIICO for sharing their experience and best practices. He stated that the learnings from Neemrana, particularly in terms of localized land planning and specialized infrastructure for Japanese investors, would play a crucial role in shaping a world-class industrial park in the YEIDA region. He added that the proposed project would further strengthen Uttar Pradesh’s position as a preferred destination for global manufacturing and foreign direct investment.
During the interaction, YEIDA’s leadership also outlined the authority’s broader master planning vision, emphasizing cluster-based industrial development, multimodal connectivity, and seamless integration with the upcoming Noida International Airport at Jewar. The planned industrial sectors along the Yamuna Expressway are expected to benefit from robust road, rail, and air connectivity, enhancing ease of doing business for international investors.
The visit concluded with a formal vote of thanks by the YEIDA team, underscoring the importance of inter-state cooperation and knowledge sharing in accelerating India’s industrial growth and global competitiveness.
