Greater NOIDA, 19 January 2022: Yogi Adityanath, Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, visited the Government Institute of Medical Sciences (GIMS), Greater Noida on 19th January 2022 at 1500 hrs. He inspected the Covid Preparedness, Flu OPD, Control room and Vaccination area. He Also interacted with Patients admitted in the Isolation ward and enquired about the state of their health and facilities available in the hospital. During the visit, CM appreciated the efforts put by the staff during first two waves and was highly satisfied with the preparedness for the third wave.

​During the visit, Yogi was accompanied Dr Mahesh Sharma, Ex Union Minister and M.P. from GB Nagar. Director of the institute Dr. Brigadier Rakesh Gupta, Chief Medical Superintendent Dr. Saurabh Srivastava , Dean, Dr. Rambha Pathak, Dr Suresh Gupta, Medical Superintendant, Dr Anurag Srivastava, Faculty IC Admin welcomed the Chief Minister.

The Director of GIMS Brig Gupta briefed the Chief Minister about the facilities given to patients in Covid.

The GIMS has achieved the “ Best Covid care Center” award by the Dept of Medical Education, Govt of UP in terms of number of patient treated, innovations and research publications during the pandemic, among the 67 Medical colleges both Govt and Private Medical colleges.
