New Delhi, (6/5/2019): Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s “bhrashtachari no. 1” remark against Rajiv Gandhi has turned into a political storm, as Congress chief Rahul Gandhi replied to him with “love and a huge hug” and said he should wait for his ‘karma’ to catch up.

Rahul Gandhi said that though Modi was projecting his beliefs about himself onto Rajiv Gandhi, he would not be able to protect himself, and that the battle for him is over.

Congress’s youth wing today also demonstrated a protest at DDU Marg against PM Modi’ s remark. Members from Youth Congress from different parts of the country participated in the protest raising slogans like ‘Narendra Modi Mafi Maango’.

Delhi Youth Congress President Vikas Singh said, ” PM Modi is doing dirty politics, he is asking votes in the name of the martyrs, and also making foul comments on a martyr Rajiv Gandhi who lost his life for the sake of his nation. We want PM Modi to apologize and take back his words. Rajiv Gandhi is an idol of this nation, he is admired nationwide and PM is doing politics by making foul comments”.

The Indian National Congress has also written to the Election Commission of India demanding action against Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
