2 held after 11 dead in K’taka temple prasad poisoning case

Two people have been arrested after 11 people died and over 60 others were hospitalised after consuming prasad from a temple in Chamarajanagar district, Karnataka. Authorities said a poisonous substance may have gotten mixed with the rice, served as prasad, as there was a dispute between two groups. Karnataka has announced ₹5 lakh ex-gratia for the families of the deceased.
