6th Management Development Program on Finance for Non-Finance Executives @GLBIMR
GLBIMR organized 6th Management Development Program on “Finance for Non-Finance Executives” on November 18, 2017 at its Greater Noida Campus, to enhance the participant’s role as decision-makers and understand the implications of finance on corporate decisions.This initiative taken by the institute under the visionary guidance of Mr. Pankaj Agarwal, Vice Chairman, GL Bajaj Educational Institutions and Dr. UrvashiMakkar, Director General, GLBIMR. The Expert Resource Person of the event was Dr. Satish Kumar, Faculty-Finance, National Institute of Industrial Engineering (NITIE) with more than 13 years of experience in academics and research in India & abroad, Dr. Kumar has been part of trainings and workshop at NUS Singapore, IIM Indore, IIM Calcutta and Great Lakes, Chennai, amongst other premier institutions. The event witnessed participation of more than 100 delegates from various corporate houses, academia and research scholars.
Dr. Makkar, Director General shared that Executives should have a greater understanding of financial information, especially for managing any operating scenario requiring good decision making. She also emphasized that the objective of any firm being profit maximization in long run, necessitates all corporate, finance and non-finance managers to understand financial strategies. Dr. Satish Kumar shared various applications of financial tools to analyze the financial statements and business scenarios by the use of case studies. The session was interactive and involved brainstorming activities among the participants and trainer.
All the delegates were conferred with Participation Certificate. The event was extremely successful.
