Bihar Social Welfare Minister resigns over shelter home rapes
Bihar Social Welfare Minister Manju Verma resigned from her post on Wednesday over the shelter home rapes in the state. This comes after police confirmed that her husband Chandeshwar Verma was regularly in touch with the alleged mastermind Brajesh Thakur. Over 30 girls were raped and tortured at the Muzaffarpur shelter home that was run by Thakur.
