UP Government orders Audit of Over 200 Group Housing Projects in GB Nagar District

Uttar Pradesh government has issued orders for audit of more than 200 housing projects in Gautam Buddha Nagar district. The three concerned authorities namely Noida Authority, Greater Noida Authroity and YEIDA has been asked to set up an audit plan for the purpose.
An order in this regard has been issued by Alok Sinha, Principal Secretary (Industries) who has asked authorities to hire realty experts and consultants for the purpose and submit a plan of action for the purpose.
A period of six weeks has been fixed to appoint consultants for the purpose.
The projects who have remained incomplete in last five years will be probed in this audit. However the buyers wanted this time-frame to be extended as the builder-buyer issues in many projects are as old as 2007-8.Â

After this order comes into action, many builders who have till now avoided submitting financial details, may come under fire and anomalies if any in usage of funds may get exposed.
