Governor’s house becomes target of day light theft in Noida’s upscale sector!

Gujarat Governor Om Prakash Kohli’s bungalow situated in sector-50 Noida became the target of daring thieves who broke the locks and stole away cash and jewelry worth Lakhs.
The theft happened on Saturday afternoon when there was no one at the house. The house belongs to the incumbent governor of Gujarat however it is her daughter Ritu Kohli who stays here presently. She is an assistant professor in an Amabala College and was in the same city when the theft happened.
As per sources, the caretaker went out for some work around 10 am on Saturday and discovered the incident after returning back around 1:30 PM. The thieves got access to ground and first floor of the house and broke opened different lockers and wardrobes kept in rooms.
The exact amount of jewellery and cash that could have been stolen couldn’t be made clear due to current occupant being away on work. The police teams were quick to reach the spot immediately after being informed of the theft.

 

Three Teams Formed, Forensic team, dog squad pressed into action

The case being very high profile, forensic teams and dog squad visited the incident site to collect the clue. Speaking on the incident SSP Dr. Ajay Pal Sharma said,”Three teams have been formed for resolving the case and earliest possible arrest of convicts. As there are no CCTV’s in the house, hence nearby cameras are being looked into. We are also probing the role and schedule of the caretaker”.

Unnamed sources are also claiming that it looked like a well planned case of theft in which the convicts might be well aware of the house being empty for a certain period. Probe is being conducted from all different angles.
