ORIENTATION PROGRAM FOR MDS STUDENTS OF I.T.S DENTAL COLLEGE

On 1 st June 2016, I.T.S Dental College, Hospital & Research Centre, Greater Noida warmly welcomed the Fifth batch of MDS Post Graduate students (2016-19) by organizing the PG Orientation programe.The chief guest for the occasion was Dr Dhirender Srivastava, Dean , Prof & Head ESIC Dental College ,New Delhi and Mr Dinesh Rai, Retd IAS Officer was special guest for the occasion. Also present on the occasion was vice chairman, I.T.S – The Education Group- Mr Sohil Chadha, the Chief Administrator – Mr Surender Sood, Director – PG Sudies – Prof Anmol S Kalha, Principal – Dr Puneet Ahuja, new Post Graduate students, parents and all Dental & Medical HOD’s. Chief Administrator of I.T.S- The Education Group Mr. Surinder Sood addressed the newly enrolled post graduate students and told them the way to excel in Clinical world is discipline, hard work and compassion. He told that the aim should not be just to get education but also to become good human being. They should be able to learn to be competitive enough so that they are at edge with other people. On this occasion, Chief Guest Dr Dhirender Srivastava, Dean , Prof & Head ESIC Dental College , New Delhi. wished the new post graduate students a glorious and successful future. He told that to be a successful clinician one has to be disciplined and dedication to serve needy people. He advised students to have patience in life to achieve success. He also told that student can make mistakes , but they should not hide them instead should learn from their mistakes. He said that focus iof the students should be learning new skills in future.Mr Dinesh Rai, Retd IAS Officer gave hearty welcome to the students. He told that to become a good doctor one should be courteous and polite with this patients. He said that it is behavior of doctor with the patients which stand him apart from other doctors. He advised students to enjoy every moment of life which is coming in their way. Dr. Anmol S. Kalha, Director PG Studies motivated the new post graduate students for being a confident clinician and a good leader in near future. He also informed the students about the Post Graduate curriculum for 3 years. He highlighted the features of Post Graduate Training Program and told them that their approach towards subject should be research and evidence based. He stressed that we should not treat just the disease but human being with disease. He said students have to keep pace with change to bea successful clinician. Principal Dr. Puneet Ahuja congratulated the students and their respective families for being the part of I.T.S. family and proposed the vote of thanks and wished all the new students to have an exciting and successful three years in the Institution. The Orientation Program was followed by lunch for PG students,families and faculty members.
