Sector-18 market partially closed in protest, associations not united in cause

Sector 18 market Association has called for a three day band starting from Saturday to press for their demand of lowering parking charges.

On first day of the protest the sector 18 market wore a deserted look however there were also many stores who worked as normal.

A rally during afternoon hours was also organized by sector 18 market Association where a group of members moved around the market to request for the support. However some enthusiastic young elements also resorted to some tactics leading to heated discussions. The unwarranted situation was cordially resolved by the office bearers of market association.

While Sector 18 Market Association led by Sushil Jain is leading the protest, many other organization’s have openly spoken against it.

Hotel and restaurant association, Real estate association, Vyapar Mandal Samiti sector 18 etc. have openly refused the shut down protest and have said that makret will remain open as usual during all these days.

The effect has also been very mixed in the market where some shops remained closed whereas others are open on the first day of protest.
