SP (STF) Rajiv Narayan Mishra gets awarded with prestigious DGP’s Commendation Disc
Noida (13/08/2017) : Additional SP (STF) Rajiv Narayan Mishra has been chosen to be awarded with prestigious DGP’s commendation disc. The honour will be bestowed on Gautam Buddha Nagar districts senior STF officer Rajiv Narayan on the occasion of India’s 70th Independence Day on 15th August 2017 at DGP headquarters in state capital Lucknow.
DGP’s commendation disc is awarded to deserving police personnel including those from STF for extraordinary achievement in their field of service.
Rajiv Narayan Mishra has been awarded for his exemplary efficiency in resolving the complicated Ankit Chauhan murder case. Employed in a software firm, Ankit Chauhan was chased and gunned down on a Noida road in April, 2015. The case was later transferred to Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force. It was a blind case with no initial leads or evidence to trace the culprits and officials simultaneously worked at multiple angels to resolve the case.
In June this year Western UP STF finally cracked the case and arrested two including a DCE alumnus. Rajeev Narayan Mishra was very instrumental in following this case and finally cracking it with arrest of convicts.
During his tenure as SP (STF) Western UP he also disclosed 3700 crore worth of online ponzi scam being committed by Noida’s Social Trade Company.
Already Holds Presidents Police Medal for Gallantry
Addl. SP (STF) Rajiv Narayan Mishra was also awarded with Presidents Police Medal for Gallantry Award in the year 2006. He was given this highly prestigious award for his exemplary bravery in foiling Ayodhya terrorist attack of 2005. During those attacks he was posted at Faizabad and had gunned down five terrorists.
