TN- Can you please tell us about your biggest achievements so far?
RD- I would like to tell you through out my early days, I was always passionate about teaching children, so this continued and at very young age I joined as a teacher in Calcutta and then there was no stoppage, I just went on joining schools after joining army school , I served it for sixteen years but then I thought of doing something, so this school has come up and the mission and vision of the school it really touched me. Because of I can help a girl children of a society who has not been privileged who never get a chance to do something in life, I took it as a challenge and I feel good if you see my room here it’s not lighten by bulb but laurels by children have won here.

TN- which is the biggest challenge you faced in achieving you achievements?
RD- I have faced lot of challenges, especially coming out here, there was little clash when I was in army school and here because many of them did not take me up nicely in the sense that lady is sitting in the principals chair, so initially I faced lot of problems but today I would like to share its fantastic day for me as those people who have thought what will a lady do, but proved them wrong not only me but staff who are all girls, so today I am a very happy person.

TN- what is your success mantra?
RD- success mantra I would say is my mothers teaching and values that I have, because early childhood I have lost my father at early age. All the good thing in life and I think I am carrying it as mantra and especially honesty, sincerity, integrity it’s not a matter of saying these words but I really live up to them.

TN – who are your icons or role model in your life?
RD- my mom I really look up to.

TN- what kind of films your are interested in and your favorite actor?
RD- I am not keen on movies, I think it’s a waste of time sitting for three hours though there are some very motivational movies which I see along with 600 kids of hostel. I have lovely auditorium, so we sit together and enjoy. Books and music yes, as people from Bengal are very passionate as you can see rabindranath tagore in my room here and I love rabindra sangeet, because I feel that his lyrics have words for every emotions in our life whether its sad or happiness, what ever.

TN – which book have influenced your thoughts?
RD- I have read lot of books but some how when I was young, I had read Charles dickens and that has inspired me very much. Though I am from Bengal, have read lot of books in Bengali like sarat Chandra chatopadhya, rabindranath tagore, they have really influenced my life a lot.

TN – what kind of music or art you love?
RD- Art in any form because I am very artistic and creative especially in dance form. I myself was very passionate about dance in school, here also in a place like this, I have made children enact rabindranath tagore’s chandralika, which every one told me mam its impossible, because it’s a total Bengali play in hindi and to get that emotion out of children and I think its great challenge which we have won.

TN- what is your comment on Prime Minister MODI performance so far?
RD- I don’t have anything in politics, but I feel if a person is totally dedicated there is no one behind him, like if he earn something for someone, it’s all for the country, I feel very motivated with this aspect of our honorable prime ministers concern, because we sitting here feel that we can give best to our society in any form, I cannot be a chief minister or prime ministers chair, but from the chair of educator we can do lot for the society and passionately , dedication will certainly achieve it.
