62-yr-old tests positive for dengue in Noida

NOIDA: A 62-year-old woman has been tested positive for dengue, making this is the season’s first dengue case.

The woman, Sumitra Devi, a resident of Gandhi Nagar in Uttar Pradesh, was admitted in a private hospital in Noida. Her blood sample was sent to the district hospital for a re-assessment, which established the same.

“The blood sample has been tested positive for dengue. This is the first case that has tested positive for the vector-borne disease this season,” Dr HM Lavania, pathologist, district hospital, Sector 30, said.
