‘80% of banners removed from streets’

A day after had reported that no attempt had been made to bring down posters and banner promoting political parties even after the Lok Sabha poll dates were declared, the UP police on Friday swung into action and removed several party banners which were put up in various parts of the district. The administration claimed that 80% of the banners had been removed from the streets.
