Delhi’s longest-serving chief minister and senior Congress leader Sheila Dikshit passed away on Saturday at the age of 81. She was admitted to the Escorts Hospital in Delhi a few days ago, she suffered a cardiac arrest and breathed her last around 3.55 pm.
Party leaders cutting across party lines reacted to the demise of the veteran politician. Congress Party Worker at Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee office expressing grief at Sheila Dikshit’s demise, said, “Delhi and the nation have lost an able administrator and compassionate Leader.”
While speaking to Ten News, Congress Party Workers said, “Sheila Dikshit demise will feel like a personal loss to anyone who grew up in Delhi. The green cover of Delhi actually grew by 300%.
Sheila dikshit Revolutionised CNG. Thousands of vehicles converted to the CNG. Delhi got clean city award for this in US.”
They further said, “She Build Dozens flyovers in Delhi. She ended the power shortage problem in Delhi.Planting of trees along the banks of Yamunana was done under her regim. We are Very sad to hear about the passing away of sheila dikshit ji. Whenever we Met her she use to treat us warmly. She was extremely dignified. It’s not just loss of Congress it’s a loss of country. ”
While reacted to the demise of the former Delhi Chief Minister, Delhitees said,
“We are really sad after hearing the demise of former CM of Delhi, Sheila Dixit ji.She change the face of Delhi. she made a lots of contribution to Delhi’s development.Her contribution to Delhi will always be remembered.”
