Godrej Appliances unveils India’s first Diet AC range with the highest energy efficiency rating in its category

Godrej Appliances, a pioneer and leading brand of home appliances in India, today launched the most energy efficient range of Air Conditioners- Godrej Eon Diet Air Conditioners with the highest energy efficiency rating of 3.9 EER which is much higher than the current 5-star rated ACs (3.5 EER), in the presence of Mr. Kamal Nandi, Business Head and EVP, Godrej Appliances. The new Godrej EON Diet AC incorporates ultramodern technology for high cooling and power saving. It is a future ready AC that not only surpasses the energy efficiency norms specified for 2015 but also complies with the standards for 2019. Along with this Godrej also launched its entire range of energy efficient Green Air Conditioners encompassing 5-star, 6-star and 7-star performance ACs. To top it all, Godrej is giving an unmatched 10-year compressor warranty and free company installation on its Green Balance Air conditioners. The other range will have 7-year warranty which is also among the highest in the industry.

Godrej Appliances grew by 57% in FY 13-14 in the Air Conditioner Category, much higher than the industry average of 20%. Today 40% of the company’s business is from the 5-star and above range of air conditioners which is much higher than the industry mix of 20%. With this new launch Godrej Appliances plans to take it much higher and gain the leadership position in the energy efficiency segment.
The Godrej Eon Diet range of ACs is available in 1 and 1.5 T capacities, in the price range of Rs 46,000 to Rs 54,000.
