AICSSYC-2024: Galgotias University Hosts 12th IEEE Congress First time in North Region

Galgotias University hosted the IEEE All India Computer Society Student and Young Professional Congress (AICSSYC) from October 17-19, marking the first time this prestigious event was held in the northern region of India. In collaboration with IIT Kanpur and the IEEE UP Section, the congress brought together over 400 participants, including students, industry leaders, and academic experts, under the theme “Connecting Leaders, Innovators, and Young Minds.”

The congress provided an unparalleled platform for knowledge exchange and innovation, featuring keynote addresses, panel discussions, and startup pitching sessions, networking dinner. Keynotes included insights from Prof. Hironori Washizaki, President of IEEE Computer Society, who emphasized the potential of advanced technology for humanity, and Prof. Sri Niwas Singh, Director ABV-IIITM & IEEE Fellow who discussed the evolving roles in engineering amidst technological advancements.
Day 2 showcased various expert talks covering themes like Green Computing and the role of technology in startups. Notable speakers included Mr. Shivam, Engineering Lead at ZS, and Mr. Nikky Kumar Jha, CEO of Saptkrishi Scientific Pvt. Ltd., who provided valuable perspectives on industry trends and challenges.

The event also highlighted a startup pitching competition where students presented innovative business models in IoT, AI, and Data Science. Winners were awarded during the valedictory session by key dignitaries, including Mr. Aditya Prasad, Investment Head at IIM Lucknow Incubator.
